Accounting Operations SupportUnder the general supervision of the Finance Manager, this position supports accounting operations by the collection of revenue and payment of expenses by verifying and completing receivable and payable transactions.Essential ResponsibilitiesInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Receive, verify, and process invoices, ensuring appropriate documentation is obtained.Prioritize invoice payment, prepare payment request reports, and complete steps necessary to distribute payments via checks or ACHRespond to questions and making calls regarding billing issues and act as liaison between communities and vendorsAudit and process credit card bills via online system1099 maintenance and vendor set upReconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepanciesAssist in month end closingDevelop an understanding of OneSite Accounting system and overall Accounts Payable process to identify and recommend process improvements and efficienciesDevelop an understanding of Procurement Partners system for daily user and to recommend process improvements and efficienciesQualificationsTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:Analytical – synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data.Problem solving – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.Planning and organizing – establishing courses of action to ensure that work is completed efficiently and timely.Written communication – writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively.Quality management – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.Business acumen- understands business implications of decisions.Cost consciousness – works within approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
