Registered Nurse (J Iverson Riddle Developmental Center)

Agency North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Role Summary Registered Nurse (S) at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center (JIRDC). The RN functions as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for the coordination—ongoing assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation—of nursing care for residents living in a home at JIRDC. Responsibilities Coordinate nursing care, including ongoing assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation. Administer medications and treatments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery following the 6 rights of medication administration. Assess outcomes and provide nursing treatment as indicated. Report or stay over during adverse weather events as required. Qualifications Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. Must successfully complete the DHHS medication exam. Certified in CPR and NCVIF. Physical ability to perform all nursing functions applicable to the ADA checklist for nursing positions at JIRDC. Shifts

1. st shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm)
2. nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm)
3. rd shift (11:15 pm – 7:15 am)

Day shift (7:00 am – 7:15 pm) Night shift (7:00 pm – 7:15 am) Benefits Sign-on bonus of $10,000 may be offered, contingent on 2025–2026 budget approval.
