Bookkeeper / Office Generalist
Location: Louisville, KY

About the Position
Snelling Staffing is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Office Generalist to help manage the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of an established business.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing bookkeeping responsibilities while also supporting purchasing and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate enjoys keeping financial records accurate, staying ahead of deadlines, and helping keep the office and operation running smoothly.
What You'll Do

• Record and categorize daily financial transactions
• Manage accounts payable , including entering bills, processing payments, and tracking outstanding invoices
• Handle purchasing and vendor-related activities
• Book and coordinate outgoing shipments through FedEx, UPS, DHL, and other couriers
• Work with service advisors and the shipping team to accurately track costs, sales, and shipments
• Reconcile financial records and ensure accounts are accurate at month-end
• Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries for ownership
• Monitor vendor payments, tax deadlines, and budget-related items
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal staff to resolve billing, purchasing, and administrative issues
• Identify discrepancies or unusual activity and research the cause
• Provide general office and administrative support as needed

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
• 3+ years of general office experience
• Bookkeeping certification or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience with accounts payable and financial recordkeeping
• Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or similar accounting software
• Experience booking shipments with FedEx, UPS, DHL, or other courier services
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate records
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly
• Ability to manage recurring responsibilities, deadlines, and multiple priorities independently
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems
• Experience supporting a small business or service-based operation is a plus
