Maintenance Technician

The Gibson portfolio includes Gibson, the leading guitar brand, as well as many beloved and recognizable music brands, including Epiphone, Kramer, Gibson Amps, KRK, and Maestro.The maintenance technician oversees maintenance needs to include the repair and maintenance of production equipment, air conditioning and humidification systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. CNC Maintenance experience a plus.Essential Functions:Program and operate PTH equipment (Printers, Placers, Oven, AOI and AXI)Assist in developing and refining manufacturing process with manufacturing engineersValidate production equipmentParticipating in manufacturing trials by preparing coupon-level samplesCollect data using metrologySupervise automated electrical and mechanical test equipmentRoll out process changes to production equipmentResponding to advanced maintenance issuesInteract daily with Manufacturing Engineers to communicate results and receive tasksAssist with root cause analysisAssist Manufacturing Engineers with ensuring equipment and processes meet production capacity targets and outputsAssist with IT support when necessary.Assisting the product development team on validating New Product Introduction (NPI) from a manufacturing perspective; PCB validation, component verification, validation, etc.Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules.Obligation to submit safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code.Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improve our safety processes.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent communication skills, verbal and writtenExcellent time management skillsAble to multi-task on time-sensitive projectsWillingness to learn new tasks/skillsEffective listening skillsConfidential handling of sensitive trade secretsTech savvy and willing to learn new softwareOutstanding time management skillset with the ability to prioritizeRequired Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent degree or related work experienceMin 5 years of experience with Electronic, Electromechanical, and mechanized systemsEssential Knowledge:Excellent written and oral communication skills.Project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a teamPersonal Qualities:Passionate about working and winning in a team environment.Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
