Welder Position in Arlington, WAExpress Employment Professionals is hiring a Welder in Arlington, WA. This is a full-time, evaluation hire position that offers day or swing shift hours.Pay: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour, based on skills and abilities. Candidates with a current WABO certification and relevant experience may qualify for the top end of the pay range.Important Requirements:Candidates must have strong work longevity and a stable employment history.Must pass a tape measure test prior to the client interview.WABO certification is highly desired. Candidates with WABO certification and relevant experience may qualify for higher starting pay.The Welder role is responsible for performing MIG, TIG, and Stick welding while supporting production operations in a highly industrial manufacturing environment. Other duties include but are not limited to:Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding according to specifications and quality standardsRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsMeasure materials accurately using a tape measure and perform basic shop mathLayout, punch, grind, drill, and handle materials throughout the production processOperate machinery and equipment safely and efficientlyPerform physical labor including lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periodsFollow all safety procedures while working around overhead cranes, heavy machinery, and moving equipmentWork effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments, including areas exposed to the elementsCross-train in other production functions as neededQualifications:Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding requiredAbility to read blueprintsStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery/equipmentAbility to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculationsStrong safety awareness and attention to detailComfortable working in an extremely industrial environment with large equipment moving throughout the facility and yardWABO certification preferred but not required. The company will assist qualified employees in obtaining certification after hire.Physical Requirements:Lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and liftingAbility to work in a physically demanding industrial environmentSchedule:Day ShiftMonday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.Overtime every other Saturday, 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.Swing ShiftMonday through Thursday, 2:30 P.M. to 1:00 A.M.Overtime every other Friday, 2:30 P.M. to 1:00 A.M.If this sounds like you – don't wait!
