Senior Bookkeeper

Responsibilities Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Prepare and post journal entries as part of daily and monthly accounting activities. Assist with month‑end close procedures and financial reporting. Maintain and update financial records for multiple affiliated companies. Process payroll and prepare related reports. Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Track and record fixed assets. Assist with job costing and project accounting as needed. Maintain up‑to‑date vendor records and documentation. Support annual audits and assist with tax preparation. Identify and help implement improvements to accounting processes and workflows. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial data. Collaborate closely with the Business Operations Manager and company ownership. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Experience processing payroll is preferred. Proficiency with Aspire, INOVA, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Compensation Competitive hourly pay with quarterly performance bonus opportunities.
