Qualifications and Skills:

• Current licensure in Occupational Therapy (Illinois OT license required)
• Previous experience as a school-based OT strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt therapy plans for diverse student needs across varying age groups
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to identify strengths and needs related to fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs in accordance with students’ IEP goals
• Consult with teachers and educational staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily school activities
• Provide direct interventions individually or in small groups to help students achieve their fullest potential
• Maintain thorough records and write progress reports on student performance
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making
• Educate students, staff, and families on strategies to support students’ success in and outside of the classroom
