Description

• Conduct assessments for patients across various age groups, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and observational methods.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate needs and long-term goals regarding communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and family members to create an integrated care approach.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress during and beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure continuous care throughout a patient's journey.
• Keep meticulous records in accordance with both state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies.
• Enhance professional knowledge through ongoing education and interactions with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
