Python / AI Engineer - Charlotte NC- 3 Days ONSITE - 2 Round interviews- 6 month duration -

Interview process: 1 hour virtual with RTM, afternoons are best

Contract 6 months, possibility to extend or convert

RTO schedule - 3 days in office MANDATORY (preferably M-W)

Job Description:

• This position sits within the HRIT / Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) Data Engineering organization and focuses on productionizing Data Science, Generative AI, and Predictive AI solutions.
• The Data Science team develops models and use cases in Python. This role will be responsible for integrating those solutions into enterprise applications and deploying them into production environments using modern cloud and container platforms.
• The ideal candidate brings a combination of Python development, AI engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, and software deployment experience, with a strong understanding of how to operationalize AI use cases at scale.

Required Experience:

• 7 plus years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, or AI/ML engineering
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience deploying and operationalizing Data Science, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Predictive AI solutions
• Experience building enterprise applications and APIs
• Experience working in cloud-based environments
• Experience with containerized deployment platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support

Top Skills:

• A Senior Python Engineer, AI Engineer, AI Platform Engineer, or Data and AI Engineer who has experience turning Data Science and GenAI prototypes into scalable production solutions.

In this contingent resource assignment, candidates may:

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Note:

Interview Process:

• One 30-minute Microsoft Teams video interview
• Video participation required during the interview

Additional Manager Feedback:

• Focus is on deploying and productionizing Data Science, Generative AI, and Predictive AI solutions.
• Strong Python, cloud, container platform (OpenShift preferred), and data engineering experience are key.
• HR/HRIT experience is a plus, but not required.
• AI and Data Science best practices are more important.
