Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Hilo Medical Center

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule: Variable - Day and night shifts possible - 12 hour shifts (36 hours weekly) following the first week of orientation. Scheduled 12 hours call at least once/month.

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not guaranteed

Requirements:

Must possess a State of HI license by the start of the assignment.
Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience.
Certifications: BLS & NRP required; STABLE & Advanced FM recommended.
Experience with computerized systems, specifically Meditech, and fetal monitoring systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide care for laboring patients and assist with deliveries.
Offer immediate care for newborns and post-delivery care for mothers.
Monitor fetal condition and manage potential complications.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes:

Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for required employee health appointments.
