Patient Service Rep. - Float

Patient Service Representative - Float PSR Float provides "fill-in" coverage at all 23 clinics. Summary of Duties Process all activity related to OSS’s patient services. Patient service functions include patient phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, follow‑up, maintaining charts, filing, and communication with referral sources. Additionally, PSR will perform other daily operational functions associated with the front desk position. Manage all Aspects of High-Volume Patient Scheduling Receive incoming patient phone calls. Collect necessary information from patients for treatment and billing purposes. Verify insurance and obtain necessary authorizations if required. Fax appropriate paperwork to referral sources. Scan documents into the patient’s account. Build and maintain all patient charts. Collect any money owed from patients, balance all money nightly, and print reports. Pull charts for the next day’s appointments and make reminder calls. Communicate with OSS staff through Outlook email. Communicate closely with billing and treating staff to resolve any patient issues. Open and sort mail daily. Perform related duties as required. Participate in educational activities and attend monthly staff meetings. Education & Experience Minimum High School graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in an appropriately related position, or equivalent education/experience.
