A Beacon Hill client, a growing company in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering stability and long-term growth potential within a collaborative accounting department. This role will be responsible for supporting key accounting functions, owning the month-end close process, and contributing to financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. The pay rate is $45-$50/hour, depending on experience.
Position Summary:
Manage general ledger accounting activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, and ad hoc reporting requests
Partner with internal departments to improve accounting processes and controls
Support audit requests and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment
Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
CPA or CPA-track candidates are highly preferred
