Medical Intermediate Care and Progressive Cardiac Care

A 24-bed Medical IMC and PCCU unit. Care is provided for a variety of intermediate care medical patients and progressive cardiac care patients including but not limited to:

• General Medical Patients requiring more frequent monitoring
• Patients requiring more frequent monitoring, which may include advanced respiratory support such as BiPap, HiFlo Oxygen, and Vapotherm
• Endocrine Emergencies requiring more frequent monitoring
• Gastroenterology requiring more frequent monitoring
• Alcohol withdrawal with CIWA score <26
• Chest Pain
• Acute Coronary Syndrome
• Stable Acute Myocardial Infarction
• Heart Failure
• Dysrhythmias
• Patients requiring administration of specific cardiac drugs
• Services provided include:
• Central Venous Pressure (CVP) Monitoring
• Removal of arterial and venous sheaths
• Chest tube care and management
• Arterial site management
• Epidural/PCA management
• Tracheostomy care
• Cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring
