About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45-07:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: RN licensure Certifications: BLS, PCT certificate Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - Appropriate licensure for the specific role applying for (RN/CNA) - Peritoneal dialysis experience Description: The unit has 18 beds. There are 7 staff members on the day shift and 6 staff members on the night shift. On the day shift, the team consists of 1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, 1 Health Unit Coordinator, and 1 Certified Nursing Assistant. On the night shift, the team consists of 1 Charge RN, 4 floor nurses, and 1 Health Unit Coordinator/Certified Nursing Assistant. Patient ratios for RNs range from 1:4 to 1:6. Patient ratios for CNAs range from 1:9 to 1:18. A variety of equipment is utilized for mobilization, including lift equipment and cyclers for peritoneal dialysis. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. The ideal candidate should possess a flexible personality, be comfortable with change, compassionate, and timely. Candidates with a BSN and certification as a peritoneal dialysis nurse will be given preference. Floating to similar units or being utilized as a sitter may be required. Weekends and holidays will rotate. The unit follows hospital policies and procedures.
