We are in the people business!Fettig Jobs Benefits:Health, dental, vision, ST/LT disability and life insuranceHealth savings account401K with company matchPaid vacation, sick and holidaysAnnual company performance bonusQuarterly team building eventsPrime office location, just North of Downtown Grand Rapids on the Grand RiverResponsibilities of the Payroll Specialist:Assist with processing weekly payroll for large employerAssist with processing new hires, rehire paperwork for a company that has a very dynamic payroll given the nature of a staffing firmProcess and maintain insurance and 401K benefit enrollments and terminationsPrepare month end accounting journal entries and reconcile bank accountsAssist with managing account payable and accounts receivable collectionsMaintain proper HR documentation and employee-related filesCross train with other positions in the accounting departmentPrepare various monthly reports and maintain excel files as neededAssist with special projects as neededRequirements of the Payroll Specialist:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred2+ years of previous payroll experience in a fast paced, growing organization preferredSuperior knowledge of payroll best practices with a desire for continuous improvementOrganized self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workStrong data entry, analytical and problem-solving skillsSuperior technical/computer skills including Excel and WordExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in providing the highest levels of client service internally and externallyAbility to handle sensitive information confidentially and with discretionJob Specifics:$60K - $65K, based on experienceMonday through Friday, 8am-5pmFully in-person, office environment work setting
