TX-STAR Speech Language Services collaborates with Texas school districts to provide students with communication services that support learning and participation. We are currently recruiting Speech-Language Pathologists for school-based assignments in Dallas and nearby communities.
These opportunities are a strong fit for clinicians who want to help students communicate more effectively, engage confidently with others, and make progress within the classroom environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will identify student communication needs, provide targeted intervention, and coordinate with educational teams to support individualized outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Administer and interpret speech-language assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need
Develop measurable therapy objectives that correspond with each student's Individualized Education Program
Deliver individual and group-based intervention according to student goals and service plans
Support communication development in areas such as articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social-pragmatic skills
Review therapy data and student performance to determine when intervention methods should be revised
Consult with educators, families, administrators, and related-service professionals regarding student progress
Present evaluation information, service updates, and professional recommendations during ARD and IEP meetings
Prepare complete evaluation reports, progress summaries, service records, and compliance documentation
Manage caseload duties, therapy schedules, meetings, and required timelines efficiently
Remain informed about current clinical approaches, district expectations, and special education requirements
Qualifications for This Position
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a comparable field
Active Texas license to practice Speech-Language Pathology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence is preferred
Clinical Fellows may apply, with supervision available
Knowledge of IEP development, school-based service delivery, and special education procedures
Ability to organize multiple student responsibilities while meeting service and documentation deadlines
Strong clinical writing, professional communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
Experience serving children or working in an educational setting is preferred
English and Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus
Work Setting and Scheduling Options

Assignments may include students from prekindergarten through high school
Available placement arrangements may include:
Full-time positions

Campus-based or hybrid assignments
