RWJ Barnabas Health has an immediate opportunity for a full time 100% Infectious disease position with a well-established private practice in Central New Jersey. Affiliated primarily with Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, a community hospital in Lakewood, NJ, the position is in-patient focused with a selective out-patient schedule (No nursing homes). The practice offers an extremely flexible schedule, allowing this person to choose their own hours.

Provide inpatient infectious disease consultations at the affiliated 500+ bed teaching hospital for a wide range of complex infectious diseases.

Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, intensivists, and other specialists to guide diagnosis and management of infectious disease cases

Interpret and recommend appropriate use of microbiological, serological, and molecular diagnostic studies

Lead antibiotic stewardship initiatives in collaboration with pharmacy and hospital administration

Participate in infection prevention and control activities within the hospital

Manage HIV/AIDS and other complex immunocompromised patients in the inpatient setting

Conduct weekly outpatient clinic session for follow-up and infectious disease conditions

The anticipated base salary range for this position if hired to work is $280,000 - $390,000 per year. The total compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
