Production and Sales Processes Manager

General Position Summary & Responsibilities

The Production & Sales Process Manager has direct responsibility for ensuring that the technical aspects of running a site are in accordance with store guidelines. This position will assist with design, development and maintenance of training programs and must be detail oriented, systematic and highly motivated. The role delivers training to assist new and existing managers with sales and production processes including store set-up, material flow, selling process and the sales business application system. The incumbent must be business process oriented with the ability to build trust, credibility, and strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.

The Production & Sales Process Manager serves as an operational support and process improvement resource, partnering with site leadership to drive process standardization, training effectiveness, implementation consistency, operational audits, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple locations.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000 annually

Essential Functions

• Identify, create and document sales and production management methodologies.
• Facilitate training for management and employees to teach and demonstrate processes and procedures related to site operations.
• Teach and demonstrate processes and procedures related to site operations management.
• Coach trainees as appropriate during the learning cycle.
• Assist with effective control and adoption of process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct operational audits and assessments to identify opportunities for process standardization, efficiency improvements, and operational effectiveness.
• Support implementation of new operational programs, process enhancements, and best practices across multiple locations.
• Partner with operational leadership to monitor adoption and sustainability of standardized business processes and training initiatives.
• Provides implementation support, training, coaching, and process guidance during new store startup and revitalization projects in partnership with site and operational leadership.
• Supports store leadership through implementation and process standardization efforts but does not maintain direct operational ownership of site performance.
• Assist in recruitment of Ops Management personnel
• Attend industry functions as directed
• Other duties as assigned

Internal Control Responsibilities

Supports Internal Control process which includes understanding, communicating, and complying with defined internal controls as well as suggesting and making modifications to the policies, procedures, and controls to better match the business.

Communicates upward problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory responsibilities but will have some authority over trainees while they are in training. May assist in the interviewing and selection of Ops Management candidates, as well as provide an assessment of their skills.

Job Conditions

This position works in office environments and outdoors within an auto salvage yard setting, with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, automotive fluids, and noise from machinery. Must be able to travel by car and plane up to 75% of the time, including international travel (Canada). Requires a flexible schedule, which may include weekend days to accommodate a typical manager's schedule .

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Organizational Development, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Retail Operations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in automotive dismantling preferred.
• Experience in operations, manufacturing, distribution, retail operations, automotive recycling, process improvement, training, implementation, continuous improvement, or multi-site operational environments strongly preferred.
• Experience in automotive recycling, retail operations, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, process improvement, operational excellence, or operational training environments desired.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate training, coach operational leaders, and support implementation of business process improvements across multiple locations.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods of time, up to 6-8 hours per day; keyboard and use a computer for extended periods of time, up to 6 hours per day; be mobile within an office setting. Visual acuity to perform close detail work for preparation and proofreading of business documents and correspondence as well as operating a computer terminal.
