Cardiology Technician - Echo Technician

This position performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under the direction of a physician for identification of cardiac or venous abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis. This role is designed for recent graduates of an echocardiography program and/or new to the field or have minimal experience. Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients. Perform ultrasound exams consistent with related protocols and in a timely manner. Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes. Throughout the exam, identify patient needs and appropriately communicate and coordinate patient care with physicians, other caregivers, patient, and family. Mentor caregivers and students on basic equipment use and procedural technique. Appropriately document exam results and other needed information. Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies. Support team and quality improvement processes and initiatives. Sonography Proficiency Digital Proficiency Risk Management Healthcare Language Fluency Healthcare Professional Development Quality Assurance Qualifications Echo I ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers Bachelor’s Degree. Qualifications Echo II ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must meet all Echo/Vascular Technologist I qualifications RPHS (Registered Phlebology Sonographer) Adult Echo Adult Congenital Echo Advanced Cardiac Sonographer 10 + echocardiography experience ≥5+ echocardiography experience + Associates Degree Must have documented Echo Medical Director review of a minimum of 5 studies in addition to a supervisory skills pass off of a minimum of 20 studies. (Must use IMH health approved form) Echo/Vascular Manager CV Imaging Medical Director

Bachelor’s Degree. Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.) Billings Downtown Clinic The hourly range for this position is listed below.
