Sign‑on bonus of $15,000 or $20,000 depending on experience; relocation bonus available. The position may qualify for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program: an extra payment of $167 per month (up to $10,000) to help pay down your loan principal faster. Schedule Varied shifts: 6:00 am–6:30 pm, 6:00 pm–6:30 am, 3rd‑weekend/holidays, occasional calls; 72 hrs/2 weeks. Job Summary Deliver nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis, establishing nursing care objectives, defining nursing interventions, and providing comprehensive physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Key Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to other health care team members. Coordinate with other health care providers; offer physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends; confer with physicians. Develop nursing care plans via medical histories, patient examinations, and documentation of physical condition, psychological status, and influencing social factors. Teach health care requirements by establishing patient care goals and instructing patients, families, and friends on condition, medications, self‑care skills, and answering questions. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, reviewing records, and re‑evaluating or modifying the nursing care plan as needed. Maintain a safe and secure patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, controlled‑substance regulations, and legal regulations. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Operate patient care equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventive maintenance, and order repairs. Ensure patient care supplies are ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and stocking items. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing; an active license in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment.
