Job Description: Production Operator* (New Ulm, MN)

Shifts: Fixed or rotating, depending on availability

Midnight: 11 pm – 7 am fixed

Afternoon: 3 pm – 11 pm fixed

Day/Afternoon: 7 am – 3 pm and 3 pm - 11 pm rotating

Starting Pay: Up to $28.01 per hour, depending on job responsibilities

$1.50 per hour differential for afternoon shift, $2.00 per hour differential for midnight shift and double time pay on Sunday

$1 per hour pay increase after successful completion of 6 months of employment

What You Do

Follow safe work behaviors and look out for hazards

Follow safe operating procedures and customer specifications to produce high quality products delivered on time

Operate automated, production, converting, molding, assembly, and packaging equipment while meeting performance/output goals

Monitor processes, order inputs, load materials, inspect materials, and performing quality inspections to release product

Create a positive, inclusive work environment

Use a computer and computer controls to run equipment

What You Bring

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.

High School Diploma or GED (completed prior to start)

Ability to work 8 to 12 consecutive hours per day

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required

Completion of a job-related readiness assessment

Ability to lift/carry heavy materials

Ability to comprehend, understand, and apply written and verbal directions from standard operating procedures, safety rules and supervisor coaching

Ability to wear personal protective equipment in accordance with safety rules

Manufacturing experience

Basic computer skills

The starting rate of pay for this position is $24.80 to $28.01. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
