About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: New York license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - EPIC experience - Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 - Travel experience required Description: MUST HAVE New York license in hand - no exceptions. Specialty: PCU RN. Shift: 4x12 Nights from 19:00 to 07:00. Every other weekend required. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius. Patient care involves working with adult acute care patients needing specialized care. All patients have continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. Responsibilities include airway management, acute BIPAP support, and management of IV infusions. Care involves a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Unit highlights include a 26-bed Intermediate Care unit dedicated to providing exceptional care. Patient population includes individuals stepping down from critical care units. Team members must be adaptable and vigilant in their approach. Isolation precautions and patient safety are top priorities. Preferred skills include telemetry, interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with blood product administration and line care is essential. Daily census averages around 17 patients with varied medical diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Special equipment or procedures may be required based on patient needs. Candidates may float between units as necessary.
