Cost Accountant

Seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant with experience in Real Estate or Real Estate Development to join a growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience supporting project cost tracking, construction draws, vendor payments, job cost reporting, and accounts payable activities for real estate development and construction projects. Responsibilities: Manage semi-monthly accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment administration. Ensure expenses align with approved budgets, contracts, and commitments. Communicate with vendors regarding billing and payment status. Maintain accounting records for real estate, asset, and debt investments. Prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly operational uploads. Assist with lender reporting, debt investment accounting, interest invoicing, and CAM reconciliations. Support cash management activities, including wire transfers and payment approvals. Maintain key accounting schedules, including cash, debt, lender compliance, and reporting schedules. Prepare tax compliance support, including annual 1099 processing. Assist with external audits by providing accounting records, schedules, and supporting documentation. Review construction draws and payment requests for completeness and authorization. Prepare and distribute related-party and management billings. Coordinate insurance invoice processing and follow up on JV reimbursements. Support additional accounting and cash management activities, including deposit postings and special projects. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 3-5 years of real estate cost accounting experience required. Development accounting or construction accounting experience strongly preferred. Experience reviewing construction draws, project costs, or development budgets preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and complex formulas. #J-18808-Ljbffr TBG | The Bachrach Group
