Commercial Insurance Account Manager, Entertainment

Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for a Commercial Insurance Account Manager, Entertainment for our Sherman Oaks, CA office. The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides prompt, accurate and courteous service to our clients, producers and company personnel, while offering a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing our commercial accounts.

Essential tasks include collectively planning, designing and implementing appropriate insurance programs for clients that coincide with agency guidelines; maintaining knowledge of new developments or changes with various carriers and new Federal/State laws that may affect how our clients conduct business; consulting, informing and educating clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures; documenting electronic filing accordingly; generating premium allocations for clients; negotiating rate terms and conditions with carriers on behalf of clients; providing technical support to producers; preparing necessary proposals, summaries of insurance and applications; submitting them to appropriate insureds and carriers; obtaining clients' signatures on all applications; following up to ensure timely responses; remarketing, contacting clients and following up in conjunction with producers; renewing policies by agency standards; consulting, informing and educating audit procedures to clients in conjunction with producer; setting priorities and managing work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Experience: 3-5 years of Commercial P&C Insurance experience required. Experience related to the Sports & Entertainment space strongly preferred. Active General Lines or Property & Casualty License required. Systems: Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Account Management System (AMS) is acceptable.

Location: Based out of our Sherman Oaks, CA office; role is performed remotely. Candidates should reside in the local area to accommodate periodic in person meetings.

Physical requirements: Ability to lift 25 pounds. Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens. Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person. Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key. Walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions.
