Patient Services RepresentativeLocation: Pomona, CA (91767)Duration: 13 weeksWorking Schedule: Day Shift || Monday through Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)Job Summary:The Patient Services Scheduling Representative is responsible for scheduling patients, verifying insurance and registration information, and providing administrative support in a hospital or medical office setting.Responsibilities:Schedule patient appointments and pre-service activities.Verify patient demographics, insurance, and eligibility information.Provide professional customer service to patients, providers, and insurance companies.Maintain accurate patient and scheduling records.Use medical terminology and knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes as required.Operate computers, phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers.Use Microsoft Office and Outlook for daily tasks.Follow department policies and maintain patient confidentiality.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of hospital experience.Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting, including registration.Knowledge of medical terminology.Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes.Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.Strong communication and organizational skills.Preferred: Some college coursework in business communication or data entry and at least 1 year of healthcare insurance verification experience.Pre-employment examination required.
