Real Estate Attorney

Wiggin and Dana LLP is seeking an associate or counsel-level Attorney with 5-10 years of experience to join our growing Real Estate Practice in our New York, Connecticut, or Boston offices. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team whose mentorship will support your career goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, with a particular focus on retail, office, mixed-use, and other commercial leasing transactions. Advise clients on leasing matters involving retail locations, franchise operations, shopping centers, mixed-use developments, and other commercial properties. Work on other commercial real estate transactions as needed. Skills and Educational requirements: 5-10 years of experience representing companies, developers, franchisees, investors, and other entities in sophisticated real estate matters, with a focus on commercial leasing, franchise and distribution, and general corporate real estate. Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and broader experience in the acquisition, disposition, development, and financing of commercial properties. Experience representing franchisees, including reviewing and negotiating agreements, renewals and transfers, as well as experience in the acquisition of assets and general corporate tasks is highly preferred. Excellent academic credentials. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, along with the ability to work independently. Bar admission to the applicable office location. Base compensation for this position will vary by office location, relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors. The target base pay range for this role is $185,000 - $275,000. This position is also eligible for annual bonuses.
