Accounting Clerk

Accounting ClerkOurisman Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks to support the dealership's financial operations.More about the role:Accurately enter financial transactions into the accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Review, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors and suppliers.Assist with reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and analysis as needed to support management decision-making.Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing issues, payment discrepancies, and other financial inquiries.Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, photocopying, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.What we look for:Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred; experience in the automotive industry is a plus.Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and external partners.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies and issues.Benefits:Health, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance optionsShort-term and long-term disability insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid time off and holiday leaveOpportunities for professional development and growthOurisman Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
