Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant, your daily tasks will include:

• Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in conducting thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical capabilities.
• Implementing individualized treatment plans devised by Physical Therapists that aim to improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, and functional capabilities.
• Administering hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and various modalities tailored for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously, including treatment interventions and outcomes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and facility policies.
• Providing education to patients and their families about home exercise programs, adaptive equipment usage, and strategies for injury prevention.
• Participating in continuous professional development activities to deepen your expertise and pursue advanced certifications when possible.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field
• A graduate from a CAPTE-Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both patients and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of practical experience in a physical therapy setting is required, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic clinics or hospital environments will be given preference. Compensation and Benefits
