Copy Editor

Providing essential support to the Postal Inspection Service, the full-time Copy Editor will ensure the clarity, accuracy, and consistency of governance and procedural documentation, coordinating with subject matter experts and maintaining timelines for deliverables in a remote or Washington, DC-based role. Key responsibilities Delivers properly formatted final versions of policies and procedures while coordinating with stakeholders Reviews and edits written content to ensure compliance with established style guides and clarity of messaging Provides guidance to staff on drafting policies and assists with various communication/governance products as needed Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience Experience supporting law enforcement or in legal drafting is preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat Ability to conduct research and ensure factual accuracy in written content Advanced knowledge of grammar, syntax, and punctuation rules
