Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working closely with students and educational staff. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is needed to conduct an in-person, independent Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) as part of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) evaluation process. This assignment is ideal for professionals looking for a focused, impactful project in a dynamic school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active BCBA certification required
- Demonstrated experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments in educational settings
- Familiarity with IEP evaluation processes
- Ability to deliver objective, high-quality assessments and clear reports
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with educational teams and families
- Commitment to ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform a comprehensive, independent Functional Behavior Assessment for a student needing evaluation as part of the IEP process
- Collect and analyze behavioral data through direct observation and interviews
- Develop actionable, evidence-based recommendations for interventions or strategies within the IEP framework
- Prepare an articulate, professional report summarizing findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with school staff, the student’s family, and IEP team as needed
- Adhere to all relevant educational laws and ethical guidelines
Additional Information:
- In-person assessment is required; local candidates preferred
- Appointment date to be determined—flexibility may be necessary
- This is a single-assignment opportunity focused on the independent FBA
