This contract position is focused on delivering a high-quality independent functional behavior assessment (FBA) as part of a student’s IEP evaluation. Your specialized skills will directly support student outcomes through practical, evidence-based recommendations.
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Demonstrated experience conducting independent functional behavior assessments, especially within educational environments
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and the role behavioral assessments play in individualized planning
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- Commitment to professional, respectful, and confidential collaboration with the school team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform a single, thorough FBA for an independent evaluation, following the school’s protocol and ethical standards
- Gather and analyze information from various sources, including observations, interviews, and record reviews
- Coordinate with school staff and relevant stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive assessment process
- Prepare detailed assessment reports with clear recommendations for IEP planning
- Provide insights and feedback to guide behavioral interventions and support within the educational setting
Details:This assessment must be conducted in person, allowing you to engage directly with the student and team members for optimal results. While there is currently a low probability for additional one-person evaluations, your expertise may be called upon for further assessments as needed.
