Job Description Summary:

\n

This position is a full-time Staff RN position in PACU at Grant Medical Center requiring 2+ years of previous experience in PACU, critical care, or ED. The hours are 8am-6:30pm 4 days per week. In an 8-week schedule, on-call is usually three 12/hour weekend shifts and two 8/hour weeknight shifts. Holidays are covered by on-call shifts. This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.\n

Responsibilities And Duties:

\n

Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%).\n
\n
\nOutcomes Identification/Planning - Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%).\n
\n
\nImplementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data (20%).\n
\n
\nLeadership - Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%).\n

\nOperations (10%).\n

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

Associate's Degree (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing\n

\n

Additional Job Description:

\n

RN - Registered Nurse BLS - Basic Life Support CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, ACLS, Field of Study: Nursing Years of Experience 2-3 years; Critical Care, Intermediate, or ED experience preferred.
