We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our team. This is a documentation-focused, office-based clerical role responsible for the accurate data entry and administration of import and export documentation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing paperwork related to international shipments, ensuring all records are accurate, compliant, and processed in a timely manner.

Note: This is an administrative position located in the office. It is not a warehouse shipping or receiving role.

• Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour
  
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
  
• Location: Birmingham, AL
  
• Duration: Temp to Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation Management: Accurately enter and process data for the issuance of import and export documentation, including Bills of Lading, packing lists, and customs-related paperwork.
• Administrative Support: Maintain organized electronic and physical files for all shipments to ensure regulatory compliance and easy retrieval.
• Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry into our internal systems and spreadsheets.
• Correspondence: Communicate with internal teams and external logistics partners regarding shipment status and documentation requirements.
• Office Operations: Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word) to generate reports, track logs, and manage shipping documentation.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export administration is a strong plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) with strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, especially when handling complex international shipping documents.
• Professionalism: Ability to work effectively in an office environment, managing time efficiently to meet shipping deadlines.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
