Role Description\n

This is a full-time, on-site role located in New York, NY. The  Home Textiles Production Manager will oversee day-to-day sourcing and production activities, ensuring products are developed and manufactured on schedule, within cost targets, and according to established quality standards.

\n

The role involves coordinating with suppliers, factories, overseas offices, design, sales, merchandising, and logistics teams; managing production schedules and product approvals; monitoring sample development and quality; negotiating costs with suppliers; and proactively resolving production issues to ensure on-time delivery.

Role Responsibilities\n

• Act as a key liaison for daily global sourcing and production operations, ensuring smooth coordination with cross-functional partners, overseas offices, vendors, suppliers, and buyers.
\n
• Maintain and manage the seasonal production calendar, production schedules, and critical timelines to meet all deadlines.
\n
• Coordinate with suppliers and factories throughout the production process to monitor progress, address issues, and support on-time delivery.
\n
• Demonstrate strong negotiation and costing skills, ensuring financial targets are met for assigned categories.
\n
• Update and track product costs and coordinate with overseas offices and suppliers to evaluate pricing, materials, and production options.
\n
• Align sourcing and production activities to achieve on-time delivery and established quality standards.
\n
• Oversee and manage the product approval process for assigned categories, including sample development, revisions, and approvals.
\n
• Monitor and expedite sample development, proactively addressing delays, production challenges, and other potential risks.
\n
• Review samples and product specifications to ensure materials, construction, finishes, colors, and overall quality meet company requirements.
\n
• Monitor quality throughout the production process and work with suppliers and factories to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
\n
• Track production status, materials, and inventory requirements to support production schedules and delivery commitments.
\n
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve sourcing and production efficiencies and present recommendations to management.
\n
• Collaborate with sales, design, merchandising, and logistics teams to align production with customer needs, market demand, and business objectives.
\n
• Provide timely updates to management and internal stakeholders regarding production timelines, costs, quality issues, and potential delays.
\n
• Support new product launches from sampling and product approval through bulk production.
\n
• Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and overseas partners.

Education and Experience\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree required.
\n
• 5+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, production, or manufacturing, within home textiles.
\n
• Proven experience in textile or home textile production and sourcing.
\n
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, finishes, and construction methods used in home textiles.
\n
• Experience managing production schedules, product development timelines, and supplier relationships.
\n
• Strong cost analysis and negotiation skills.
\n
• Experience with quality control, sample review, and product approval processes.
\n
• Experience as a production supervisor or production assistant is preferred.
\n

Salary\n

$90,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
