Workforce Relations Coordinator

As our Workforce Relations Coordinator, you’ll get a front-row seat to how a large, complex institution actually works - supporting collective bargaining sessions, assisting with workplace investigations, and helping resolve grievances, all as part of a small, collaborative team. You’ll build hands-on versatile expertise in labor relations and employment law working alongside experienced leadership, legal counsel and HR partners, with genuine room to grow into certification and expanded responsibility. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Two (2) or more years of professional experience in labor relations, employee relations, human resources, paralegal or legal support, or a related area.
• Experience assisting with workplace investigations, document review, reporting, or information-request processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a unionized, public-sector, or higher-education environment.

• Experience supporting collective bargaining, grievance administration, requests for information (RFIs), or compliance programs.

• Familiarity with Alaska public-sector labor law and workforce compliance requirements.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and  full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the  UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 79, based on education and experience.

Fairbanks location preferred; exceptional applicants located in Anchorage will also be considered.
