- Floating may occur when census warrants; every other weekend requirement

Responsibilities
- Assess and treat adult and pediatric patients in the emergency department, providing timely triage and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and participate in procedural sedation as ordered
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placement for all RN duties; provide central line care when applicable
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias; participate in stroke/CVA care and other acute interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (IV team, RT, PT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Work, RRT, Transport) to coordinate care and disposition
- Document care in the electronic charting system and adhere to isolation precautions and patient safety protocols

Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand to submit; NY licensure in process or pending licenses not accepted
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; ER/acute care experience preferred; charge experience not required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Demonstrated ability to perform general emergency nursing for adults and pediatrics, including phlebotomy and IV starts; proficiency with emergency medications and procedures
- Epic charting experience preferred or required to document care efficiently
- Compliance notes: Locals within 75 miles not accepted; RTO minimal (no more than 10 days); return-staff policy of 1 year; pending licenses not accepted
