Designer

Our client, a leading apparel brand specializing in outerwear and bottoms, is seeking a Designer to join their team. As an Outerwear & Bottoms Designer, you will play a key supporting role in bringing seasonal collections to life. Working closely with the Head Designer and broader design team, this position is ideal for a detail-oriented creative who is eager to deepen their technical expertise in outerwear while refining their understanding of fit and construction for bottoms. You will contribute across all stages of the design process, from initial concept through sample development. 5x on-site Key Responsibilities Design Execution: Support senior designers in developing silhouettes, sketches, and colorways across outerwear, bottoms, and swim categories Technical Development: Create and maintain detailed tech packs in Excel and Illustrator, including flats, BOMs, and trim placements Market Research: Analyze trends, competitor assortments, pricing, and emerging materials or finishes to inform design direction Fit & Development: Participate in fit sessions, document feedback, update technical sketches, and track revisions across sizes Sourcing Support: Assist in sourcing trims and fabrics while maintaining organized development references and tracking tools Vendor Communication: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on lab dips, strike-offs, sample yardage, prototypes, and sales samples Sample Coordination: Prepare and organize samples, labeling, and shipments to internal teams and external partners Technical Skills Adobe Creative Suite: Advanced proficiency in Illustrator for technical sketches and tech packs; working knowledge of Photoshop for mood boards, prints, and color renderings Microsoft Office: Strong Excel skills for BOM management; familiarity with Outlook/Teams for communication Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field 3–7 years of experience in apparel design, preferably within outerwear or bottoms Solid understanding of garment construction, including closures, seam types, and finishing techniques Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and follow-through Proactive mindset with a willingness to take on a wide range of responsibilities Nice to Have Exposure to 3D design tools such as CLO 3D or Browzwear #J-18808-Ljbffr Fourth Floor
