Counselor / Group Facilitator (PRN / Per Diem)

Summary:

Responsible for facilitating all assessment services for program as outlined by facility standards and in accordance with clinical philosophy of program.

Shift: Flexible Hours - Required to work 1 weekend day

Pay: $27-$30/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts screenings and level of care assessments, using clinical knowledge and skill level and communicate the process with clients.
• Evaluates behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs of clients.
• Collect demographic and historical information relevant to the LOCA.
• Gather information for and complete precertification for all managed care clients when applicable.
• Facilitate admission process by communicating with appropriate clinical team member as required.
• Facilitates appropriate admissions to all levels of care.
• Makes appropriate referrals to community providers and finds placement in appropriate setting for the client.
• Completes assessment, admission, and other paperwork for clients to in a timely manner. Including but not limited to Releases of Information (ROI) and other admission paperwork.
• Manage admission pre-certification with funding sources when applicable.
• Collaborates with other team member, and departments as needed.
• Expected to provide coverage for other clinical team members.
• Responsible for maintaining clinical record for clients with appropriate documentation of clinical services and client program engagement in ECR in accordance with program policy.
• Conducts brief individual therapy to engage patient in treatment and documents appropriately.
• Provides case management and linkage to alternate services if indicated.
• Develops an initial treatment plan.
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Education, Licensure, & Experience:

Must meet one of the following requirements:

1.) Master's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling with a Master's level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling

2.) Master's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling and are working towards a Master's level licensure (Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling), or certification by a state wide certification board (CAADC)

3. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling AND a CADC OR are working towards a CADC AND 2 years of counseling experience (group therapy/individual therapy/family therapy).
