Manufacturing Planner (Direct Hire)
Salary: $62,400/YR
Overview
Saxon is partnering with one of our clients to hire a Manufacturing Planner for a direct hire opportunity in Tacoma, WA. This role is responsible for developing and releasing detailed work instructions by translating engineering data into clear, production-ready documentation for aerospace manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed work instructions from engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Develop accurate manufacturing routings, including sequence, labor, and materials
- Support production teams (Assembly, CNC, Molding) to ensure proper use of work instructions
- Review and improve existing documentation and processes for efficiency and accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to work instructions and production flow
- Track KPIs related to documentation, audits, and process validation
- Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and program management teams
- Support transition to digital work instructions
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; technical or post-secondary education preferred
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience (aerospace preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong technical writing, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of AS9100 and Lean/Kaizen principles is a plus
