Accounts Payable
PrideStaff Hattiesburg is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk on behalf of our client in Hattiesburg, MS. In this role, the Accounts Payable Clerk will perform the following duties:
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
Location: Hattiesburg, MS
Pay Rate: $18-$22/hour
Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Qualifications:
- Experience in accounts payable & Foundation accounting system
- Familiarity with job costing is very valuable
- Must be dependable and be self-motivated, detail-oriented
- Must have a great people person personality
- Must have the ability to multitask & work in a fast-paced environment
- Must not be easily distracted and be able to work in an office where there are ringing phones and people talking
- Computer experience with multiple types of software is required
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $22.00
