Environmental Coordinator

The Ottawa County Road Commission is seeking applicants for the position of Environmental Coordinator. This position serves as the Road Commission liaison with all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies regarding environmental permitting and compliance. Conducts environmental research, historical reviews, and gathers hydrological data to prepare necessary documentation and permit applications for all Road Commission projects. Oversees and coordinates the Road Commission storm water management plan, soil erosion, and sedimentation control program, and other related programs to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Manages Road Commission culvert infrastructure. Qualifications include two years’ experience in the field of natural resource management providing knowledge of environmental regulations with at least an associate’s degree in natural resource, biology, or closely related field. Proficient in computers to generate various types of charts, reports, and computations.
