Adjunct Faculty, Developmental Reading – Department of Critical Literacies, Technology, and Multilingual Education (CLTM) (College of Education) Work type: Temporary Part‑Time, Regular Part‑Time Location: Glassboro, New Jersey This is a part‑time adjunct position with the possibility of renewal on a term‑by‑term basis. Candidates who can teach courses in our reading/literacy programs are preferred. We offer two developmental reading courses for Rowan students depending on their Accuplacer score: Improving Personal Reading Skills and Critical Thinking, and Reading of Academic Texts. Both courses focus on comprehension strategies, vocabulary development, study skills, and decision making across a broad spectrum of academic majors. In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
