About the Role All Tex Pipe & Supply, one of Hajoca’s trade names, is seeking a Sales and Leadership Trainee for its Austin, TX location. This role offers a long‑term career path in sales, business operations, or management for a driven, customer‑focused individual. About the Program The Sales & Leadership Development program is a multi‑year rotational experience that immerses trainees in all areas of the business, helping them align their career goals with the company’s needs. Trainees pair their passion and skill set with business needs, gaining a foundation to pursue a long‑term career in sales, operations management, profit center management, or other paths. Learn the business. The learning path includes on‑the‑job experience, coaching from experienced managers, coursework, and client/vender interactions. Program Phases Phase 1 Work related to business operations – receiving/shipping material, processing returned goods, deliveries, and truck maintenance. Participate in vendor product knowledge sessions. Complete related online courses. Phase 2 Gain counter‑sales experience – assist customers, process sales orders, provide product information, and maintain displays. Participate in vendor product knowledge sessions. Work with residential, commercial, and repair‑and‑remodel contractors. Phase 3 Learn sales – pricing, margin management, bids, quotes, submittals, procurement, and job scheduling. Develop vendor relationships. Participate in joint sales calls with outside salespersons. Phase 4 Engage in a career discussion with the assigned Profit Center Manager to determine future focus. About You College degree or equivalent experience. Experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles. Able to drive for company business. Requirements: At least 18 years old. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record per company policy. Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to persuade. Adaptability and quick reaction to change. High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multitask. Ability to learn and operate applicable software and technology. Strong math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Quick product knowledge acquisition for Profit Center offerings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for business communication and data analysis. English reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
