Role: Sr. Business Analyst

Client: State of WA

Location: Olympia, WA (Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months

Rate: $120/Hr.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying system actors, documenting processes, use cases, and data flows.
• Conceptualizing and breaking down work into requirements that meet INVEST criteria.
• Creating, grooming, and supporting a product backlog maintained in Azure Dev Ops.
• Interviewing stakeholders and users to identify functional requirements.
• Contributing to software development by supplying requirements, participating in agile ceremonies, and verifying work items that meet acceptance criteria.
• Updating epics, features, user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria when required.
• Collaborating with software engineers to refine requirements and incorporate product management feedback.
• Participating in testing and verification of code.
• Participating in agile ceremonies, taking notes about decisions and requirements to translate them into content backlog items.

Deliverables:

• Agile requirements that can be interpreted by a development team.
• Features and stories that use the INVEST framework and incorporate best practices in requirements gathering and writing.

Bidder Qualifications:

• Must be licensed, or able and willing to obtain a license, to do business in the State of Washington.
• Five (5) years of business and systems analysis experience, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Solid understanding of the systems development lifecycle, particularly agile software delivery methods.
• Leadership and troubleshooting skills.
• Technical writing skills.
• High attention to detail ensuring quality.
• Knowledge of financial systems.

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of D365.
