Sr. Business Analyst
Role: Sr. Business Analyst
Client: State of WA
Location: Olympia, WA (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months
Rate: $120/Hr.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying system actors, documenting processes, use cases, and data flows.
- Conceptualizing and breaking down work into requirements that meet INVEST criteria.
- Creating, grooming, and supporting a product backlog maintained in Azure Dev Ops.
- Interviewing stakeholders and users to identify functional requirements.
- Contributing to software development by supplying requirements, participating in agile ceremonies, and verifying work items that meet acceptance criteria.
- Updating epics, features, user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria when required.
- Collaborating with software engineers to refine requirements and incorporate product management feedback.
- Participating in testing and verification of code.
- Participating in agile ceremonies, taking notes about decisions and requirements to translate them into content backlog items.
- Agile requirements that can be interpreted by a development team.
- Features and stories that use the INVEST framework and incorporate best practices in requirements gathering and writing.
- Must be licensed, or able and willing to obtain a license, to do business in the State of Washington.
- Five (5) years of business and systems analysis experience, preferably using Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of the systems development lifecycle, particularly agile software delivery methods.
- Leadership and troubleshooting skills.
- Technical writing skills.
- High attention to detail ensuring quality.
- Knowledge of financial systems.
- Knowledge of D365.
