Primary Patient Population: Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients Level 1 Trauma Center Primary skills utilized/learned: Patient Assessments Patient Triage Trauma care IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion Time management, critical thinking, delegating Personnel RN will work with: LPNs, Paramedics, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Behavioral Observers (BO), Providers Number of beds on unit: 93 beds (Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) included) 10 Trauma Bays 80k+ patient visits annually Awards or Recognitions the unit has received: Level 1 Trauma Center Lantern Award Stroke Certified Benefits: MetroHealth offers industry‑leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation). Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio Current AHA BLS, ACLS or obtained within 90 days of hire. Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire. Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire. Current NIHSS Stroke certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
