Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Manufacturing Production SupervisorApex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Manufacturing Production Supervisor for our client based out of Macungie, PA.This assignment is anticipated to be a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first-shift Monday–Friday schedule.Responsibilities:Provide front-line leadership for a production team, focusing on employee coaching, mentoring, development, and daily coordination.Manage staffing requirements on a daily basis to ensure production goals and operational needs are met.Approve and manage employee timekeeping, attendance, payroll-related activities, and workforce scheduling.Support performance management activities, including employee feedback, coaching, development planning, and corrective actions when necessary.Lead and promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.Oversee daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.Facilitate daily team meetings to communicate priorities, performance metrics, and operational updates.Conduct and support quality checks while ensuring adherence to production standards and procedures.Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying waste, improving processes, and implementing operational efficiencies.Collaborate with support functions and cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve overall performance.Monitor workforce concerns including overtime, absenteeism, ergonomics, staffing levels, and employee engagement.Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, communication, and employee involvement.Experience:Associate degree or higher preferred.2+ years of leadership, supervisory, team lead, or people management experience required.Preferred 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or production environment.Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.Experience managing workforce performance, attendance, scheduling, and daily operations.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.Ability to influence, motivate, and develop employees while driving operational results.Technical Skills:Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power BIExperience utilizing operational metrics and reporting tools to drive performance improvements.Nice to Have:Lean Manufacturing experience.Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement training.Experience leading kaizen events, waste reduction initiatives, or productivity improvement efforts.Exposure to manufacturing operations, warehouse management, or production planning processes.Why Work for Apex Systems:We offer weekly pay, direct deposit, competitive pay ratesHealth/Medical benefits, Life Insurance, 401k, Employee Stock Purchase ProgramDiscounts to most major certification programs, access to multiple technical training platforms and programsApex Benefits Overview:Apex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
