What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students staff visitors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances exits and common areas verifying access permissions as directed and assisting with visitor processing in accordance with site protocols.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders following post orders and completing required reports related to security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
