As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol in East Meadow NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students staff visitors and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate observations to school administration and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings parking areas athletic spaces and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances exits and visitor activity while following access control procedures checking credentials when required and reporting unusual behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support daily school operations during arrival dismissal after-hours events and/or public meetings by maintaining a professional presence and documenting incidents patrols and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
