Position Highlights
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and keen observational techniques.
- Curate individualized treatment plans prioritizing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication skills, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to create seamless care frameworks.
- Educate patients and families to encourage continued progress outside of the clinical environment.
- Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, prioritizing ongoing, cohesive care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
- Ensure meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Continuously update your expertise through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
