Job Title: Production Worker Job Description

This role involves working on a fast-paced production line to prepare and ship mailings and packages. You will handle envelope stuffing, packaging, and transition into the shipping area toward the end of the production process. The position requires working around production equipment and machinery, following written operating instructions in English, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

• Work on a production line to prepare products and materials for mailing and shipment.
• Stuff and prepare envelopes accurately and efficiently for mailing.
• Transition into the shipping area toward the end of the production process to support order fulfillment.
• Handle packaging, packing, and general production tasks as needed.
• Operate or assist with production machinery and equipment following written instructions in English.
• Use scanning tools and other shipping-related equipment to sort and process items.
• Support shipping activities involving carriers such as Amazon, UPS, FedEx, or similar environments.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a safety-conscious mindset while working around equipment and machinery.
• Maintain an organized work area and demonstrate strong attention to detail in all tasks.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet production and shipping goals.
• Lift, move, and load materials weighing up to 50 lbs safely and consistently.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, twist, and bend freely for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
• Adhere to production and shipping schedules, including mandatory weekend shifts and selected weekdays.
• Follow dress code requirements appropriate for a production and shipping environment.

• Ability to read and follow operating instructions in English.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time during 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, twist, and bend freely throughout the workday.
• Demonstrates a safety-conscious mindset when working around production equipment and machinery.
• Works well both individually and as part of a team.
• Shows strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Quality-oriented and focused on accurate and consistent work.
• Reliable transportation, especially for overnight shifts when public transportation may be limited between approximately 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM.
• Availability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Availability for Saturday and Sunday, which is mandatory.
• Availability to work three additional weekdays in addition to weekend shifts.

• Previous experience in production, warehouse, shipping, or fulfillment environments is preferred.
• Experience in environments using carriers such as Amazon, UPS, FedEx, or similar is a plus.
• Familiarity with sorting, shipping, scanning tools, and general production processes.
• Experience as a production helper, general laborer, or in general production, packaging, packing, machine operation, or loading tasks is beneficial.

The role involves being around production equipment and machinery and using scanning tools and other shipping-related technology. Shifts are 12 hours in length, with a day shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and a night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Weekend availability on Saturday and Sunday is mandatory, along with three additional weekdays. Reliable transportation is important, particularly for overnight shifts, due to limited public transit options during early morning hours. The dress code requires comfortable work clothing without holes, no hats, and attire that is appropriate and practical for a production and shipping environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Stratford, CT.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Stratford,CT.
